Meet upon arrival on MH2042 ETA:0740hrs. at Sandakan Airport or at hotel
lobby, proceed to the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation
Centre, journey will take approximately 30 minutes. On arrival, register
at the reception counter and proceed to the Platform A to observe the
daily 1000hrs feeding of the Orang Utan. After witnessing the feeding,
proceed to the reception centre for a 30 min video show on the center.
Depart Sepilok Orang Utan Centre for lunch in Sandakan Town.
AT 1400hrs, Proceed for the Sandakan City Tour with the first stop at
the Rotary Observation Pavillion for a bird’s eye view of Sandakan Town,

Day 01
Transfer to airport for flight to Sandakan. On arrival at Sandakan
airport by MH2129 eta 08.50 am, proceed for a short tour of Sandakan
town including a tea break in one of the houses on the water village and
the Australian War Memorial. Continue to Sandakan jetty for an estimated
2 hours boat journey to Sukau Rainforest Lodge along Sabah's longest
river, Kinabantangan with opportunity to view birds and wildlifes in
virgin mangrove, wetland and rainforest habitats. Late afternoon take a
two hours river cruise using electric motor in search of some of the 10
primate species including Proboscis monkeys as they settle down on
treetops along the Kinabatangan River. Return for solar heated hot
shower, candle light dinner and slide show conducted by naturalist

Day 02
Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills. A 6.00 am morning river
cruise up the Kinabatangan River to view more birds and wildlifes.
Proceed to the Kelenanap ox-bow lake for a short jungle walk (if weather
permits). Experience the wilderness of Borneo. You have the option to
participate in our conservation project by planting trees at our 64
acres adopted land. In the afternoon, we proceed for another river
cruise for more wildlifes. After dinner an optional night safari cruise
spotting nocturnal animals, crocodiles and birds. Overnight at Sukau
Rainforest Lodge. (BLD)
Day 03
After breakfast, transfer by boat to Sukau Village for a short tour and
return to Sandakan by boat journey. Lunch at Sandakan before proceed to
Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Trek ten minutes through the
rainforest on wooden plank walks to witness the feeding of the orang
utans at 3 pm and video show. Transfer to airport for departure flight
MH2065 etd 5.20pm. Arrive at Kota Kinabalu，transfer to Hotel. (BL)

2.00 pm Trekking at Segama Trail which is about 2.7 KM long that runs
parallel with the Danum River and begins at the eastern end of the

8.30 pm Briefing and slide presentation at the Conference Room on Borneo
Rainforest Lodge.
9.00 pm Night drive in an open-air jeep in search of nocturnal animals.

6.00 am Early morning jungle walk to the “Canopy Walkway”.
Canopy Walkway is 107m long among tall 'Mengaris'and mighty
Majau' trees and 27m above the ground.

8.30 am Trekking at Nature Trail which is about 0.6 KM long and begins
immediately by the roadside infront of the Lodge. It is the longest
boardwalk in Danum Valley. The nature interpretation would form
a introductory basis for the understanding of the Borneo
Rainforest.
9.30 am Water Tubing about 3/4 KM from the Lodge along the Danum
River.
12.30 pm Lunch
2.00 pm Trek to the Kadazandusun burial site "Coffin Cliff" then proceed
with trekking to the "View Point" for a bird's eye view of the area.
Descend to the "Jacuzzi Pool" for a refreshing dip.

Tour commences with a 3-hour drive to Kudat, heart of the Rungus
territory. Enroute, stop at Kota Belud. The Bajau are popularly known as
the Cowboy of the East. The vibrant Sunday tamu (open air market on
Sunday only) where the local natives (Dusun/Kadazan and Bajau) sell
their wares/produces ranging from exotic food, handicraft to live
animals.
Highlight of the tour is visiting local Rungus Longhouse. A chance to

13:15pm - Departed from selected hotel & drive towards the southern part

Off on a scenic drive to Tambunan, bypassing mushroom barns before
reaching the newly established “Rafflesia Sanctuary”. Rafflesia - the
largest flower in the world, measures up to one metre in diameter and
was once described as one of the “rarest” flower in the world. With
luck, one may get to see this particular flower in close range (if any
“Rafflesia” flower is at bloom on that particular day) while trekking
for 2-3 hours in the tropical forest of the sanctuary.
This rare flower takes nine (9) months to grow but deteriorates in less
than 10 days. It is a parasitic plant, with no leaves, stem or root. The
sanctuary is protecting hundreds of this precious buds.
