Jens is presently working for Munich based
Expedia.com Gmbh, the German subsidiary of Expedia Inc, a world leading
profitable online travel agency. In his role as Manager Product &
Business Development he is responsible for driving the development and
the customization of market specific product features, managing content
production and licensing as well as for turning Expedia.de into an
attractive marketing platform for online advertising and promotions. His
career at Expedia started when he joined Microsoft Corporation as Senior
Producer Travel, developing and managing content for the German version
of Microsoft Expedia, in 1997. When Microsoft spanned of the travel
business unit he became a founding member of Expedia Inc, and eventually
Site & Content Manager for Expedia.de. Before joining Microsoft, he has
worked on journalistic assignments in more then 25 countries,
specialising in Ecotourism, and assisted leading consumer travel and
travel trade magazines in Germany and South East Asia with the
development of content and marketing concepts. He is trained as a
professional journalist and in commercial publishing and holds a first
class honour degree in tourism & transport. |
